Intrade is a person-to-person trading "Exchange".

Intrade is an exchange that facilitates the matching of orders from its customers. It allows you to trade in the most innovative, transparent and fun way on political (US Presidential Election Winners: 2004, 2017, etc.), financial, current and similar events. Intrade members trade directly with each other. Intrade ensures that trading profits and losses are transferred between customers in a timely manner and allows customers to close out positions by trading with any other customer. Intrade does not enter into trades on the exchange. When you trade on Intrade you are pitting your wits against other members of Intrade. Intrade provides the platform whereby members can trade between themselves.

There is no charge for entering an order; there is only a charge when you get a matched trade. Intrade charges a fixed $.04 transaction fee per matched transaction lot that you trade. There in no fee charged for entering an order. Prices on Intrade are often much better than those available elsewhere, as the prices are established by you and other Intrade members at prices you want to trade at. Intrade has long-term offers like "where will the Dow close at year end" and short term offers like "will the Dow be close higher on the day".

Deposit and Withdrawal.

Funds may be deposited once you have opened an Intrade account. You may deposit funds into a Intrade account via bank transfer, check, Neteller, FirePay, Prepaid ATM, or MasterCard and Visa. For Credit cards your initial deposit limit is $250 until your account has been verified, minimum deposit is $25. Complete details on each method of depositing funds can be obtained in the Deposits section under "My Account" section.

You may start betting once your funds have reached your Intrade account. Funds deposited by card clear almost immediately, while other methods of transferring money take longer to clear. Estimated clearing times are as follows: US check or banker's draft drawn on a US bank - minimum 5 working days after receipt. Bank transfer - your bank may be able to arrange same day, but 1-2 business days is more normal. Prepaid ATM clears within approximately 30mins. FirePay and Neteller clear instantly.

There are no fees for deposits. Bank Transfers of $2,000 or more will receive a $100 deposit bonus. (Rukes apply) Bank Transfers of $500 to $1999 will receive a $30 deposit bonus - only one bonus per customer, calendar month. When sending a check/money order for $500 or more, ask for our FedEx number to send it express at our expense. Intrade absorbs bank charges on bank transfers deposited to your Intrade account but your bank may charge you independently for wiring funds.

You are allowed two free withdrawals by check, NETeller or credit card per 30-day period. Subsequent withdrawals within the period are subject to a $10 admin fee. Bank Transfer withdrawals are subject to a $20 bank fee which will be waived if your withdrawal is for $2,000 or more. The $10 admin fee may also apply to bank transfer withdrawals. If you request to have your check sent FedEx, a FedEx fee of $30 will be applied.

How Does It Work.

Once you have opened your account and funded it, Exchange Trading is easy. Select the Event you want to trade, E.g. The Rams to Win the Super Bowl Review the offers that other players have posted. If you think the Rams will win, you "Bet On" or "Buy" the Rams. If you think they wont you "Bet Against" or "Sell".

If you think an offer posted by another player is fair you can accept it by clicking on "Bet On"/"Bet Against" on the Betting Screen, or "Buy"/"Sell" on the Trading Screen. Once you have selected the offer you want, simply press "Confirm". It's that easy! If you do not see an offer at the odds/price or stake you want, why not post up what you want for others to take.

E.g. Suppose you want to stake $2,000 on the Rams at +200 and this offer is not available. All you have to do is Click on "Bet On" and adjust the stake and odds to $2,000 and +200. If your offer is reasonable you will likely get the action you want.
